YEAR OF GIVING
Scholars of Sustenance success was only made possible due to all of are valuable partners, thousands of volunteers, financial and food donors and all the generosity across the board.
In 2021 we decided the Year of Giving is not only giving more meals than ever to the needy communities, but to give you our partners the opportunity to give back to the island they love so much while getting corporate benefits in return.
Here in Bali Indonesia, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we seen a dramatic decrease in the amount of surplus food being produced from our partners in the tourism and hospitality industries. Yet, at the same time more and more people across the island were losing access to life's basic necessity of nutrition.
SOS did not wait for the surplus to return, we launched new programs and managed to grow our operations in 2020 to feed over 1,500,000 meals to the needy communities of Bali. Over 5 million meals globally!
Scholars of Sustenance is a food rescue foundation focused on the collection and re-distribution of surplus food across Southeast Asia. To put it simply, we take leftovers from commercial outlets and provide it to the needy communities.
The numbers are clear. Globally we produce enough food annually for 10 billion people, there only over 7 billion on the planet yet over 1 billon are suffering from malnutrition and/or starvation. It's a food distribution problem!
THOUSANDS ARE GOING WITHOUT FOOD RIGHT NOW!!!!
YOU CAN BE THE DIFFERENCE MAKER,
