Marriott Hotels in Phuket Lent Their Hands to Help the Communities

Even though it was challenging to have two projects like Cook For SOS and Food Rescue Program running at the same time, but SOS, and 10 Marriott hotels around Phuket were able to pull it through by working together.

A total of 5,460 meals were cooked and distributed to many communities with many households in the areas. Marriott Hotel prepared 1,000 boxes of nutritional food and distributed them to 3 communities; King Kaew Community received 300 boxes, Sansuk Beach Community received 300 boxes, and communities near the Fish Marketing Organization received 400 boxes.

Even though the hotel industry like Marriott Hotel is now having fewer tourists coming in to stay due to the pandemic, they still put their spirits and energy to cook for the community and help them with their difficult lives despite having fewer profits. This is because they truly understand what people are facing during this pandemic and they wanted to spread kindness around through cooking.

Marriott Hotel and SOS have been working together for 3 years now, and they are very happy with what they are doing because they could see the smiles from many people in the community.
