โครงการครัวรักษ์อาหารระหว่าง SOS และโรงแรมในเครือ Marriott ภายในกรุงเทพฯ เมื่อต้นอาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมาเป็นช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุด และน่าประทับใจที่สุดวันหนึ่งของพวกเราเลยทีเดียวที่ได้ร่วมทำมื้ออาหารที่มีคุณค่าทางโภชนาการสูงด้วยกันในครัวของโรงแรม Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park เพื่อนำไปแจกจ่ายให้กับผู้คนในชุมชนสุมขุมวิทมาชิม ที่มีจำนวนประชากรมากกว่า 1,000 คนที่ได้รับผลกระทบอย่างหนักจากวิกฤตเศรษฐกิจหลังการแพร่ระบาดของโรคโควิด-19 ผู้คนจำนวนกว่าครึ่งต้องเสียงานไป ทำให้มีภาระค่าใช้จ่ายที่สูงขึ้น และนำมาซึ่งความเป็นอยู่ที่ลำบากขึ้น พวกเราจึงรวมพลังเพื่อช่วยเหลือพวกเขาโดยหวังว่ามื้ออาหารเหล่านี้จะช่วยแบ่งเบาภาระค่าใช้จ่ายได้บ้าง

Our mutual ‘Rescue Kitchen’ program between us and ten Marriot hotels in Bangkok earlier last week was one of the best we had ever! We cooked hundreds of nutritious meals together inside the kitchen of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park hotel and then went to the Sukhumvit Ma Chim community in the Wattana district of Bangkok. There are more than 1,000 people in this community, who have been hardly affected by the economic downturn after the pandemic. More than half of them have lost their jobs and that made them have to deal with the daily living cost for the whole family, so we hope that our distributed nutritious meals could help them save some cost for them to support their lives in other aspects.
