Scholars of Sustenance Foundation and CP Freshmart have started the Food rescue operation! On 17th September 2020, Scholars of Sustenance Thailand Team led by the K'Faii operation manager organized the food rescue training with the CPF team to instruct and train them about the process and instruction of food rescue, how to collect food surplus, and how to cooperate with the food rescue ambassador team. Apart from training, the CPF team and ThaiSOS also visited Tesco Lotus Sukhumvit 50 branch to observe the process of rescuing food surplus! The 4 stores started as the pilot food rescue collaboration, which in the future we hope that we will expand our operation within our operation.
Not only the food rescue operation, our Rescue Kitchen, on 24th September, is packed with a volunteer from the CP Freshmart team. Along with our local volunteer contribution, the kitchen has produced 1,600 meals for the Wat Kae Community in Nangleong. We are serving hot Chinese noodle soup, egg, and pork in sweet brown sauce, with the dessert as Taro and sago in sweet coconut milk. With the support from CP Freshmart providing us the abundant resources of meat, pork, and other good sources of protein for our community's scrumptious noodles.
