"Food Rescuing and Cooking Experience" Tour Promotes Sustainable Solutions to Food Waste Problem

The "Food Rescuing and Cooking Experience" tour held under Bangkok Design Week 2023 was a resounding success, with participants and organizers alike enjoying a meaningful and fun-filled event. Over the course of the two-day event, attendees were given the opportunity to learn firsthand about the food waste problem and sustainable solutions, while also experiencing the joy of cooking and eating delicious, rescued food.

The tour was hosted by the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation - Thailand, the event was designed to provide Thai people with an opportunity to understand the food waste problem and get involved in solving it.

During the event, participants were able to rescue surplus food and cook together in a Master Chef-style challenge. The highlight of the tour was when participants had to plan and prepare a meal with the surplus food, within a limited budget set by the SOS team. The results were creative, and delicious and demonstrated that cooking with rescued food can be both fun and sustainable.

The event was supported by Lotus's and Na Cafe, who played a vital role in making the event a success. The participants also had the chance to interact with the SOS team members, who provided valuable insights and expertise on food rescue and sustainability.

Overall, the "Food Rescuing and Cooking Experience" tour was a tremendous success, raising awareness about the issue of food waste and the need for sustainable solutions. The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to learn, collaborate and enjoy the joy of cooking and eating delicious food.
