SOS Phuket has delivered surplus food through Food Rescue Program to Phuket Protection Center

SOS Phuket had received 937 kg of high-quality surplus food, including freshly cooked food, snacks, and condiments, all of which was donated by numerous donors such as S&P, Mister Donut, Tops Market, CPF, Family Mart, and hotels. Additionally, SOS Phuket passed on this surplus food via the Food Rescue Program to Sukniran Wichit community, Phuket Sunshine Village Foundation, Shelter for children and families, and the Protection Center for the Destitute. All of these are large communities with both Thai Buddhists and Muslims, as well as migrant labourers, living together, and most individuals encounter the problem of a shortage of income due to the reduced employment.

The surplus food that we donated this time can be converted into 3,935 meals for a population of over 1,823 people in 4 communities.

Foundation would like to thank all donors for their assistance and contribution to a more sustainable society and environment, including a wide range of local government organisations and all volunteers who join together to organise all forms of preparation for every villager to receive goods and services.
