Headstart International School made the 1st Food Drive project with SOS Phuket

School is the best place to receive education and organize fun activities.

HeadStart International School in Phuket made its first Food Drive for our organization by organizing food donation activities and educating the students about food waste. The students and their parents saw the importance of helping the vulnerable society during the pandemic, so they gave their support to this food donation activity.

.

They managed to collect 679kg or 2,851 meals that were ready to be distributed to multiple communities in Phuket. Many slums and low-income communities such as Thai Mai Rawai Community, Thai Koh Kaew Community, and Han Saen Suk community received non-perishable food donations so that they could store them for a long period and keep having food to feed their stomach.

This charity could not be done without help from everyone. The food donation activity from Headstart International School was very informative as well where the students got the opportunity to learn how SOS works and why we should not waste food. The young generation is the future’s hope, and with good and rational education, there would be a bright future for our planet.
