MEET SOS Thailand Interns!! (Q1/ 2021)

We kicked start our 2021 with fresh energy from 4 amazing interns who are really passionate about social and environmental impacts. They reached out to us last year to express their interest in contributing to our mission on zero hunger and zero waste and now they have been with us for a month already. Let's get to know these young people!

NINA: Hi all, My name is Araya Cho (Nina). I'm half Korean half Thai and now 21 years old. I’m studying in the 3rd year of faculty of Social Enterprise, Srinakharinwirot University. I chose to intern with SOS foundation because I’m interested in food waste and food preservation which I hope to learn a lot from SOS foundation.

WIN: My name is Pawin Chalermvanichkul (Win). I'm studying in the 3rd year of the faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. There are 3 reasons why I selected SOS foundation for my internship. The first reason, I want to learn more about food waste management from the foundation. The 2nd reason I want to develop my skills. and the 3rd reason I want to make a profit for the foundation. (That means to make the foundation be able to sustain itself, right? 😁)

TAE: My name is Pitiwat Thawornwat. I'm studying Social Enterprise and doing an internship at Scholars of Sustenance Foundation this semester. I like the operational work here as I found that it’s a new solution that can actually help society. Working here, I have been gaining a lot of experience, which I'm sure that I can adapt to work in social and environmental development areas in the future.

PLERN: My name is Kanyapat Chummano (Plern), I’m 20 years old. I’m a student at Srinakharinwirot University and studying in Social Enterprise. I chose SOS foundation for my internship because I’m interested in social impact. During this internship, I understand the points of the foundation more, which makes me feel so proud to be a part of this big change in Thai society.

They are now focusing on an online fundraising campaign which we hope we will get more traction from the younger generation in Thailand to drive the changes as well. 😊
