SOS Bangkok received a lot of donations from many of the partners of Ford Motor Company Thailand, such as Adient & Summit Co. LTD, and MC Metal Service Asia (Thailand) Co. LTD, Aapico Hitech Public Limited Company, TI Fluid Systems, and Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems Thailand.

We then packed all the donations into many bags and distributed them to more than 10 communities across Bangkok, and most of them were slum areas and the red zone community where many families were quarantined. There were even bedridden patients in the community and their families hardly take care of them as they have to work, so our donations could make their lives easier by having dry food and non-perishable food in their houses.

The community also could organize a Rescue Kitchen Program with SOS and pass the food to the community to ease their financial burden and provide them with enough nutrition for their body to be strong enough to survive this pandemic. Most of the people who live in slum communities only eat 1 or 2 meals a day, which means their bodies lack important nutrients.

SOS Bangkok appreciates the food donations from Ford Motor’s partners who were willing to sacrifice their time to help the community in Bangkok. It was a success where many people who were in need received donations from us and we were happy to see 6,957 meals were distributed and surely they had a good time consuming our food donations.
