SOS Bangkok & SOS Hua Hin teams welcome the United Nations Resident Coordinator and UNCT

Updated: Jun 16

Last week, the SOS Bangkok and SOS Hua Hin teams had the opportunity to welcome the United Nations Resident Coordinator and the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Thailand who have traveled to join our SOS Rescue Kitchen program at Ban Nong Hiang Community, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Together we have distributed about 816.5 kilograms of food to the people at the community, which are cooked food, ready to eat food, and some food donations from the UNCT team.

The SOS team is honored and very grateful that everyone at the UNCT team has shown interest in our food rescue work, listened to the working plan for the National Food Bank establishment, as well as exchanged the ideas to solve the problems of food waste and food insecurity in Thailand together.

We will continue working with our strongest determination to create great cooperation with all sectors in Thailand to bring the real systemic change for Thailand.
