The Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, and SOS signed an MOU

On August 8th 2022, Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Board of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, and Mr. James Layson, Managing Director Scholars of Sustenance Foundation, signed a memorandum of understanding at Activity Hall, Chamber of Commerce of Thailand. The MOU seeks to "Create Collaboration for the Safe Delivery of Surplus Food from Food Suppliers to Those Facing Food Shortages".

At the signing of the MOU, Dr. Visit Limlurcha, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and President of Processed Food and Future Food Committee, presented guidelines for the management of directing safe excess food to the needy. Ms Tanaporn Oi-Isranukul, Operations Manager at Scholars of Sustenance Foundation, emphasized the importance of having a good food management system and understanding and changing food consumption behavior, food storage, and food waste disposal. The importance of creating awareness for everyone, from children to adults, to change behavior and take responsibility in this urgent matter was promoted by both.
