Phuket Received Award for Our Food Rescue Contribution!

SOS Phuket was established 3 months before the COVID-2019 pandemic happened. But it was found in the right place at the right time, it was meant to operate on the island because it will serve its purpose, to feed the people. And during the time where most people require food, of good nutritious food, SOS Phuket was there, rescuing surplus food and distributing them to vulnerable communities.

On 13th March 2021, SOS Phuket was recognized by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security for its effort in providing food for the people in need. This won't be possible without all the hard work and sacrifices of Jack who never gets tired of helping people. This recognition is not just a win for SOS-Thailand Team, but a win also for all those who are helping us with our mission.

Jack, Food Rescue Manager Phuket office, was not only rescuing food but also leading different collaborations so that we can cook nutritious meals and serve them to vulnerable individuals that are in dire need of good nutrition. While the island is suffering from the pandemic, we stayed and kept delivering food and extending our reach of support even further during the trying time of the Phuket Community.
